South Asian Regional Round at SAHSOL

Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (SAHSOL) organised the 11th Henry Dunant Moot Court on International Human Rights (IHL) in collaboration with International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) on December 1 - 2, 2015 at Asifa-Irfan Moot Court Room at LUMS. At the inaugural ceremony on November 30, 2015, Reto Stocker, Head of Mission of ICRC in Pakistan highlighted the importance of the IHL Moot Court Competition and appreciated the LUMS Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (SAHSOL) for providing such an opportunity to ICRC to conduct its 11th Regional Round here in Pakistan for the first time.

Dr. Ali Qazilbash, Chair of SAHSOL welcomed the teams participating in the IHL Moot Court and narrated the history of the moot court competition started by SAHSOL in the year 2009, by conducting its first ever national LUMS Moot Court Competition in Pakistan.

The participating teams from the South Asian countries were: Eastern University, Bangladesh; University of Dhaka, Bangladesh; Allameh Tabatabaei University, Tehran, Iran; Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran, Iran; National Law College, Nepal; Kathmandu School of Law, Nepal; Open Universtiy of Sri Lanka; APIIT Law School, Colombo, Sri Lanka; Pakistan College of Law, Lahore and Bahria University, Islamabad. The event concluded on December 2, 2015.
