A career in hospitality spanning over 28 years which includes working with a number of leading organizations in the industry in hotel operations and food and beverage, coupled with working as a hospitality/retail and interior design consultant on international projects. Expertise lie in business development, project management, policy planning, human resource planning and restructuring, training, pre-openings, hospitality/food and beverage operations, event management & design, hospitality and retail concept development and concept execution with a focus on architecture/interior design, FF&E and SOE procurement, menu development, recruitment, marketing, finance and operations. A proven track record of directing and managing, individual and multiple hospitality concepts with strict profitability and incremental flow through targets. Experience working as a hospitality and tourism sector specialist/consultant for the World Bank, USAID, ADB and FCDO projects. Consulted for the Aga Khan University Hospital and Sind Club for their hospitality operations. Also developing and teaching Hospitality/Tourism Management courses for the Sulaiman Dawood School of Business Administration at LUMS, Pakistan. Holds an MSc. in Hospitality & Tourism Management and an MA in English Literature.
