Dr. Humayun is Assistant Professor at the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law. She has a PhD in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh. Her areas of academic interest are literature and the law, interdisciplinary humanities, modernism,  and cultural criticism. At LUMS, she teaches courses that explore the intersection of legal theory and literature. Her research interests pivot around the same themes, with a special ongoing interest in sovereignty, populism and cultural politics.

Before joining LUMS, Dr. Humayun was Assistant Professor and co-director of the Arzu Program in Languages and Literature at Habib University in Karachi, as well as an Assistant Professor of English Literature at the University of Punjab in Lahore.
